Sunday we went to chuch in inner city Chicago. Let me just say that the Church is the same everywhere, but it is amazing how different it can seem. I didn't exactly feel safe even driving into the parking lot. We were fine though. After church we checked into a different hotel, because we had some problems with the first one. Hotel #2 had a great location also, and had its own pool.
Monday we went to the Navy Pier. We left the hotel room a bit early, so we ended up taking the bus to the NP instead of waiting 20 mintues on the street for the Navy Pier trolley. Thankfully, the city bus wasn't to crowded or crazy. When we got to the NP, we headed straight for the Children's museum. It was pretty incredible. The kids spent over 3 hours playing around in the many different areas. They loved the rope course and water works area the best. But the bowling lanes and camping zone were also really fun. I had to beg the kids to go to lunch. After lunch we visited the build-a-bear store and played mini-golf. It was really hot out on the pier in the afternoon, so by the time we finished our round of mini-golf, the kids were beat, so we took the trolley back to the hotel.
